Snow falling…

Walking to her car, she prays.  She prays to her Father.  She
asks Him for grace and mercy to see His glory in the midst of her
circumstances.  She asks Him to fulfill some of the desires of her
heart:  to pass exams so she can continue moving to that point
when her legs will walk across a stage and she will be proclaimed to
all as a doctor of medicine:  a teacher, a healer.  As the
snow falls around her, she reminds Him of His promises to her.
She speaks against the ever-present fear that this time, like so many
times before, her abilities, her prayers, her faith will not be
enough.  And she must remind herself that it is not about
her.  It is about the Lord.  It is about His grace, His
mercy, His destiny for her.  So she holds on to the fact that God
is a loving God who will never leave her nor forsake her.  He will
accomplish all that is right for her.  And she must continue to
hold fast to that belief.  Hold fast to the knowledge that God has
not brought her this far to let her go.  He has not allowed this
particular desire into her heart to destroy it and her.  While she
does not understand the necessity of ALL the struggle she has gone
through, she knows that there is an ultimate purpose and in that
knowledge, she rests her hopes, her desires, her dreams.
