Writer’s Block: In The Money

If you won $100 this afternoon, what would you do with it?

One hundred dollars now is not the same as one hundred dollars when I was a kid or even when I was back in medical school.  I’m partly convinced that has something to do with getting paid now and paying more bills than in the past.  As a kid I would have been able to buy some clothes, jewelry and a book or two on the side.  A hundred dollars in college would have been used for random stuff around campus including going out to the Greek/Arab joint or spooning down some Ben & Jerry’s while in med school it would have gone straight into the account.

Today?  If I won $100 I would pop it into the account and either write a check to the credit card co. or a check to a needy friend/family member.
