internex hoaxes

From time to time we all get emails about strange and curious situations involving killers in the backseat, exploding cell phones, self-combustible air fresheners, deadly camel spiders and computer viruses that threaten to destroy our outlook email boxes.  I’ve gotten and spread my fair share of these warnings, alerts, reminders etc but no longer.

I’ve compiled a list of internet sites whose sole purpose it is to debunk/demystify various internet claims – some of them actually have a kernel of truth to them (the unfortunate death of Steve Irwin) or have occured in a unique situation so it’s always a good idea to check them out!

I would ask that you please check out a few of these pages (to make sure that multiple folks have catalogued what you’re about to send as a hoax) the next time you get an email warning you about needles in the gas pumps!
